Allelys strengthen equipment fleet

Recent investments support growth
Allelys has continued to invest in its jacking, transport and lifting equipment to support their growth within the market.
The JS250, which is a custom developed multi-point lifting system, was designed and delivered by Enerpac. The system, which comprises of four individual jack-up towers, has a total lifting capacity of 1,000te, making it the first Enerpac lifting system within the UK that has a lifting capacity of 250te per tower.
The system lifts loads in increments using a jack and pack technique and is operated and controlled by a computer control unit. The technology within the unit maintains the balance of the load to enable the lifting and lowering operations to occur simultaneously.
David Allely comments
“Our fleet already includes a 900te gantry system as well as strand jack systems from Enerpac, so it was the natural choice to collaborate when we wanted to strengthen our equipment fleet even further,” explains David Allely, Director at Allelys.
“Combining our new jacking system with the existing gantry system means that we now have a lifting capacity of 1,900te for lifting bridge decks and other large structures.”
The business has also received two new Andover specialist rail carriers to add to their existing fleet of six, which sit within the comprehensive transport fleet. The trailers have a 75te capacity and a loading length of up to 26m.
Allelys worked closely with the design team at Andover to create the purpose built rail carriers. With Goldhofer axles, the trailers have a self-loading capability and shallow loading angles to meet the needs for locomotives, carriages and other rolling stock.
“We carry out a lot of specialist work within the rail sector and we therefore need bespoke trailers that are adaptable and flexible for rolling stock. We have worked closely with Andover for a number of years. They understand the needs of the market and the specification that we require”, continues David.
“The rail sector is a very important part of our business and this purchase demonstrates our commitment to continue to invest in our fleet and increase our offering and capacity within this market”.
Versa Lift 60/80
The third piece of equipment recently received, was an additional Versa Lift 60/80 to add to the existing fleet.
The Versa Lift is a unique heavy duty style forklift, with an extendable counterweight on the back. Designed specifically for moving heavy machinery smoothly and safely on solid surfaces for riggers, the Versa Lift is ideal for working inside buildings or ships, where door heights and widths can restrict the use of other larger equipment.
“The Versa Lift 60/80 is capable of lifting loads up to 45.4te. The extendable counterweight is what enables the compactly designed piece of equipment to achieve the heavier lifts, making it a valuable asset on job sites with restricted space”, explains David.
“These three recent investments validate our commitment to continuously enhance our service offering and also demonstrates the strength and depth within our equipment fleet.”
