Reassurance at all times across every level of safety

Health, safety, environment and quality are paramount to Allelys and are at the heart of our business.

Culture & Commitment to Safety

Allelys are committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for our employees and every person that interacts with the organisation. We recognise that the services we provide and the sectors we work in present challenges in terms of managing risk, but we are committed to protecting our people, environment and assets on every project we undertake.

We’ve developed an extensive training programme for all of our employees so that they have access to continuous professional development, are able to work to our safe systems of work and adhere to risk assessments and method statements on every project. Our programme includes a range of training material from in-house training, e-learning and external industry recognised qualifications such as CSCS, CPCS, NPORS and NVQ’s.

We also have a ‘Stop Work’ Policy, which can be applied by any employee if a situation arises due to an unsafe action, behaviour, or non-action of any party involved in the operation, that could put personnel, environment or assets at risk.

Safety Performance

Our safety performance is critical to the success of our business and our projects and therefore it’s essential that we continuously identify, assess and act upon any areas that can be improved. Any areas that are identified are reported, recorded, investigated, analysed and then lessons learnt published within safety bulletins and toolbox talks.

We also have a fully integrated written management system, which shapes the way we operate and is accredited to the following ISO standards:

ISO 9001 – Quality Management
ISO 14001 – Environmental Management
ISO 45001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management

The management system is maintained by our own qualified team of managers and is regularly audited by external parties including customers, the UKAS accredited auditing body and FORS.

As an integral part of the supplier pre-qualification process, the Achilles membership and audit serves to independently verify that our management system complies with the standards that have been agreed by buying organisations within the UVDB and services communities for health and safety, environment, quality and corporate social responsibility as well as local legislation and regulations.

Quality

Quality is a key component of our management system and customer care is paramount to us. We strive for 100% satisfaction and encourage our customers to get in touch with any feedback they would like to provide. If there are any instances where it’s believed that a good quality service has not been delivered, we have procedures in place to investigate and act upon any necessary changes.

It is essential to the Allelys team that our certifications are not just attained, but that the standards are continuously met and maintained, therefore in addition to our external audits, we also complete internal audits on a regular basis, both within the office and at remote sites, to ensure that we continuously improve as a business.

Environmental

Allelys is committed to regularly assessing the environmental impact of our operations and reducing, where possible our carbon footprint, vehicle emissions and waste.

Ethical Compliance

Allelys are committed to creating a diverse workforce. Within our service offering, we are also committed against unlawful discrimination of customers, visitors and members of the public.

Our company policy is to employ the best qualified people and provide equal opportunities for the advancement of employees and not to discriminate against any person because of gender, race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, religion, belief or disability.

The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative of all sections of society and our customers, and for each employee to feel empowered, respected and able to give their best.
