Transportation from Telford to Felixstowe
Allelys were contracted to lift the engine, manoeuvre it out of the manufacturing facility, transport it to Felixstowe and offload it at the docks, all within the same day.
A bespoke lifting solution was required to accommodate the manufacturers lifting points built into the unit. The Allelys team engineered a three lift beam arrangement to be used in conjunction with a 200te capacity hydraulic gantry system to lift the engine.
The port drum engine was then manoeuvred out of the facility with extreme precision due to the restricted space available. It was loaded onto a wafer bed trailer, transported to Felixstowe and offloaded at the docks.
