In general terms, loads are classed as abnormal if they are tall, wide, long or heavy. Allelys have significantly invested in our equipment fleet to ensure that we have a diverse fleet of specialist trailers and a multitude of trailer configurations to transport any type of cargo.
With decades of experience, customers regularly look to Allelys to support them with their AIL transport projects. From projects within rail, power, ports and shipyards, oil and gas, museums and heritage, agriculture and horticulture, industrial and automotive, and civil engineering, we have a presence across a breadth of sectors and markets.
AIL transport services
Allelys offer a full factory to foundation solution with regards to AIL transport. Our dedicated team of project managers will deliver the project efficiently based on the customers requirements.
A transport solution with then be designed for each AIL transport project, including support during the FEED stage if required, designing bespoke transport arrangements and producing risk assessments and method statements.
Specialist Equipment Fleet
Our specialist trailers include girder frames, which provide increased manoeuvrability over flat top trailers and are also able to suspend the load in a lower position to travel under infrastructure along the route.
SPMTs are also used on AIL transport projects and are primarily used off the public highway. They are hydraulically propelled, which provides superior traction and can be coupled and configured in any conceivable combination underneath the load.
Allelys also own a large fleet of modular trailers including vessel bed trailers, flat top/drawbar trailers and bogies.
