Train road transport services

Ever since we constructed our first purpose-built rail trailer in 1985, clients have been coming to us to provide end-to-end logistics solutions for their rolling stock and rail component transportation.

Our comprehensive range of services includes project management, scheduling, route surveys to ensure there will be no unexpected obstacles along the way, organising permits, engineering, ro-ro operations, pilot cars and warehousing facilities with a choice of long and short-term storage.

Train road transport solutions

We have a wealth of experience transporting everything from standard wagons to the heaviest mainline locomotives and the longest railway coaches. We offer a full contract lift service, if required, although a crane is not usually necessary due to the highly efficient ramp and winch method we use to load rolling stock onto trailers.

Our full range of trailer configurations includes everything from beam trailers to modular trailers and from wafer decks to vessel beds. For abnormal loads, our in-house and design fabrication team produce bespoke solutions to meet any specification. Complementing our heavy haulage service, we also offer general haulage for smaller wagons and spare part delivery.

Going the extra mile

The level of customer service we provide is a key point of difference for Allelys, with all client needs met from just one point of contact. We always take the time to understand the full scope of work for the project and can look after every last detail to ensure a smooth transportation phase.

We trust our specialist equipment suppliers to provide bespoke trailers designed for the rail sector, which enable us to address any train road transport challenge. This gives us the capability to look after any contract from niche heritage transportation to renowned infrastructure projects such as the HS2 railway.
