Operations Manager for our heavy haulage fleet

Allelys are thrilled to welcome Howard Owen to the business. Howard joined the company on 1st October and is responsible for managing our heavy haulage fleet and personnel from an operational perspective.

With 30 years in the haulage industry, Howard has a wealth of knowledge and experience to bring to the business. After beginning his career as a driver and working as a Transport Manager for over 10 years, his hands on approach is perfectly suited to the Allelys team. His experience of managing teams of drivers across the UK and Ireland will also support the delivery of our customers’ requirements.

Bringing 30 years experience to the business

“Having worked in the haulage industry for a long time, I’ve always been aware of Allelys and their coverage across the UK. This job role was a great opportunity for me to move from haulage into heavy haulage,”

explains Howard Owen.

“Whilst the skillset required to complete the job is parallel to my previous role, the cargo being moved is very different. The logistics and engineering capability within Alleys is what drew me to the business and it’s great to work on such a range of projects.”

As Operations Manager for our heavy haulage fleet Howard will be working with our diverse fleet of trailers. Suitable for every type of cargo and including bespoke rolling stock trailers, beam trailers and vessel beds, semi-low loaders, wafer decks, SPMTs, modular trailers and girder frames. He will be working closely with our customers to understand the full project scope and deliver the complete logistics process. This role will also see Howard working across a variety of sectors that the business works within, whilst specialising in the transport of rolling stock.

The business extends their welcome to Howard and wishes him well in his new role.
