The global pandemic has had a huge impact on the heavy lift industry within the last 12 months and Allelys have worked extremely hard and significantly invested to ensure that we’ve been able to service our customers with safe, efficient and on-time deliveries of overland transport. Some of the ways the business has adapted include:
- Preparing a COVID-19 policy for customers.
- Dedicating resource, time and money to implement safeguarding measures for our employees, customers and other personnel.
- Investing and allocating dedicated vehicles to the drivers mates, to eliminate the risk of sharing a cab.
- Employees receiving ISOH accredited CPVOD-19 awareness training.
- Training and briefing sessions to communicate changes and ensure safety and compliance.
- Implementing additional PPE control measures.
- Issuing COVID-19 PPE/hygiene kits.
- Investing in the purchase of COVID-19 LFT kits.
- Implementing the NHS COVID-19 workplace testing scheme.
All of these measures demonstrate Allelys commitment to providing overland transport solutions whilst remaining dedicated to every level of safety.
The awards body detailed that this award will be presented to an equipment-owning provider of overland transport services by road, rail or inland waterway that has demonstrated its commitment to the safe, efficient and innovative transport of heavy and oversize project cargoes.
We’re looking forward to attending the awards ceremony in London on 19th October.
