3,000te Transfer press
The main components included a 172te bed, a 110te slide and a 350te crown. The team designed a solution to use a combination of hydraulic lifting gantries as well as jacking systems, versa lifts and mobile cranes to complete the project.
There was a lack of space in the laydown and build area as well as a detailed schedule of assembly, so the planning and project management was key. Especially with the size and description of vehicles in the delivery schedule direct from the dock.
Limited access on site
The project site was also still in the process of development, so the installation of the complete press had to be completed between two bays with very limited overhead crane access.
Allelys also supported the project further by supplying engineered site steel supports to alleviate and strengthen the ground loading for complete assembly.
