How We Deliver Excellence

We know that many factors play a part in the successful delivery of a national infrastructure project. Time is crucial and safety is paramount, therefore we work closely with our customers to develop bespoke solutions for the individual project requirements and connect the needs of our clients with project deliveries that bring the country closer to achieving net zero.

Whilst we take pride in our expansive equipment fleet, this forms just one aspect of our solution. A solution that begins at the first engagement and involves engineering, project management, HSEQ, planning and permits before the operational delivery commences.

From Our Legendary Beginnings

The foundations of Allelys began in the early 1950’s when Maurice Allely started an agriculture contracting business. His drive and ambition to grow the company was evident when he went on to buy a livestock haulage business with his father, Hector Charles Allely, in 1959 from Arthur Hunt. Later that year the first load of farm machinery was transported to Cornwall and signified the beginning of who Allelys have become today.

1950's

1960's

The arrival of the first new lorries, two Bedford’s and the first low loader, enabled progression in the general haulage market.

1970's

The first heavy tractor unit and 50te low loader were purchased, signalling the start in heavy haulage.

1980's

Multiple business acquisitions were completed; the first mobile crane, modular trailers and purpose-built rail trailer were added to the fleet.

1990's

Allelys continued to add firsts to its fleet, including a 400te gantry system, a girder frame trailer and Goldhofer modular axles.

2000's

Extensive investments in land, alongside warehousing and workshop expansions. Significant project milestones achieved and further equipment purchased.

2010's

First SPMTs added to the fleet alongside Faktor 5 and 5.5 girder frame trailers, further depot development and international award wins.

2020's

Allelys become the UK’s largest heavy lift, specialist transport and installation project provider.
