Allelys were contracted to transport seven CBD90 locomotives from Burton on Trent, Staffordshire to Port Talbot in Wales.
The locomotives, each weighing 90te, required custom built rail trailers due to their weight. Measuring 13.64m (l) x 2.7m (w) x 3.57m (h), the transports also required private escorting, which Allelys provided with our own fleet of escort vehicles. The CBD90 locomotives are capable of moving 2,500te with battery charging from a 3-phase supply.
