Site Supervisor
Job description
Working as the responsible person on site, carrying out safely and efficiently all aspects of installations work including but not limited to jacking, skidding and lifting.
Key responsibilities
- To work primarily as part of the project team.
- To lead and manage the general riggers on site in carrying out the project.
- Dealing with the client and principal contractor on site during the project duration.
- Perform role based at Allelys head office and working at various sites across the UK.
- To carry out the role in adherence with Allelys’ health and safety policies, procedures and to ensure the team meet company standards.
- Adhere to all third-party site rules and procedures.
- Attend job relevant inhouse and external training courses when requested.
- To lead the team in carrying out jacking and skidding operations in accordance with the project RAMS.
- The operation of plant and machinery after receiving appropriate training and certification.
- Responsible to report any problems, malfunctions, accidents or incidents to the operations manager or project manager.
- Assist with maintenance of Allelys equipment.
- Manual handling activities.
- Daily task reporting to the project manager providing ongoing updates on the works (Timings, photos and estimated completion times).
- Pre and post inspection of tackle used on site.
- Assist with loading and unloading of equipment when in Allelys yard.
- Constantly review operations with health and safety at the forefront, stopping work if any concerns and not resuming until issue resolved or a safe manner of work is agreed with project managers.
- Ensure team wear appropriate PPE for the task being carried out on site.

Skills, experience & qualifications required
- Good knowledge of the heavy lift and transport industries.
- Full driving licence, Cat B.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisation skills; both personal and external.
- The ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative.
- Travel, nights away will be required for varying durations.
