Auto Electrician Mechanic
Job description
Due to a fantastic period of growth Allelys are recruiting a self-motivated, hands-on individual with a positive ‘can do’ attitude to join our close knit team.
This opportunity will offer the responsibility to carry out tachograph testing, calibration, installation and to fit electrical equipment into and carry out maintenance on both our vehicle fleet and customer vehicles, to ensure that they are in a safe and roadworthy condition.
Allelys are one of the largest and most successful abnormal load transport, heavy lift and haulage companies in the UK. We move anything from bridge sections to tanks, and any everything in between.
Role responsibilities
- Diagnosing and fault finding
- Carrying out tachograph testing, calibration and installation work
- Managing security procedures in relation to all equipment and data
- Taking on routine services and maintenance inspections on a variety of vehicles
- Performing all duties with care and attention
Qualifications & experience required
- Full driving licence -HGV C+E licence desirable
- Experience of working with heavy good vehicles as an auto technician
- Previous experience of wiring of electrical components and systems
- Experience working independently or supporting a workshop team by fault finding and supporting the diagnostics of vehicles
- Strong manual skills and precision when carrying out repair and testing
Salary & hours
- Standard hours £16 per hour
- Overtime £24 per hour
40 hours per week + Saturday 08:00 – 13:00 + overtime as required
